Lucia Laguna

A pintura de Lucia Laguna retrata a paisagem urbana do Rio de Janeiro. Porém esta paisagem nos é apresentada de maneira velada, quase abstrata. Há uma justaposição de formas, linhas e campos de cor que saem ou se sobrepõem a elementos mais figurativos muitas vezes causando a impressão de um espelho quebrado. É uma pintura elegante, de gestos decididos e calculados, com grande densidade pictórica. Laguna desenvolve uma técnica de trabalho única, em que telas são produzidas por seus assistentes em tinta acrílica, seguindo as diretrizes apontadas pela artista, que passa então a consumi-las ou desconstruí-las usando tinta a óleo. São composições onde o processo da pintura parece nunca terminar, a imagem permanece viva e mutável diante de nosso olhos.

Robert Indiana
